This sweeping tale of romance, abduction, friendship and war is told by an ensemble of goddesses, demons, monkeys and heroes. The Ramayana lies at the heart of Hinduism and has been captivating people for centuries with its balance of adventure and spirituality. India’s dazzling epic is a timeless testament to the transcendental power of love.

Katie Atkinson

Katie Atkinson was last seen with Constellation Theatre Company in A Flea in Her Ear, Crazyface, Temptation, The Good Woman of Setzuan, and The Arabian Nights. Other local credits include Washington Shakespeare Company: The Miser; Forum Theatre: Antigone, The Skriker; Shakespeare Theatre Company: Lady Windermere’s Fan; Rorschach Theatre: The Living Dead in Denmark, A Bright Room Called Day; Journeymen Theater Ensemble: The Inspector General; Spooky Action Theater Company: The Marriage of Bette and Boo; Synetic Theater Blackout Series:  My Way Little Girl. She has worked as an actor and teaching artist at Shakespeare and Company in Lenox, MA. Katie has a BFA in Drama from Syracuse University.

Joe Brack
Joe Brack  is honored to be joining Constellation Theatre for another show, after portraying Andrei in Three Sisters, Tournel in A Flea in Her Ear, Angel/Old Clown in Crazyface, Figaro in The Marriage of Figaro, and Orestes in The Oresteia. Some of Joe’s favorite roles include:  Failbetter Productions: Crave (A); Raleigh Ensemble Players: Floating Rhoda… (Barn); LiveWire Theatre: Romeo and Juliet (Mercutio); Actor’s Theatre of Washington: Never the Sinner (Richard Loeb); Forum Theatre: Marat/Sade (Patient/Voltaire); Washington Shakespeare Company: Peace (Havoc/DJ); Imagination Stage: Playing from the Heart (Colin), City Artistic Partnerships: The Santaland Diaries (David). Joe can next be seen as Touchstone in Virginia Shakespeare Festival’s As You Like It.
Misty Demory

Misty Demory*, an Associate Artist with the company, is delighted to be back home with her Constellation family. Other Constellation credits include, Crazyface, The Marriage of Figaro, The Oresteia, The Arabian Nights and A Dream Play.  Other DC credits include Imagination Stage: Lyle The Crocodile (Helen Hayes Nominated), Playing From The Heart, Lost and Foundling.  Studio Theatre SecondStage: TempOdyssey.  Phoenix Theatre DC: Silent Heroes, The Kathy and Mo Show. Misty can currently be seen in commercials for Luray Caverns.  She would like to thank her phenomenal husband for taking such loving care of their babies while she is at the theater.

Danny Gavigan

Danny Gavigan is humbled to be part of such a visionary cast and crew in his first production with Constellation Theatre Company. His previous credits include The Bay Theatre Company: Mauritius; Keegan Theatre: Of Mice and Men (Ireland National Tour); Rorschach Theatre: Dead City, References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot, Rough Magic; Theater Alliance: Five Flights; Forum Theatre: Marat/Sade; Solas Nua: Made In China; Maryland Shakespeare Festival: The Two Gentlemen of Verona (Regional Tour). This summer he will be playing Angela Hoenikker in Longacre Lea’s world premiere adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut’s Cat’s Cradle.

Heather Haney

Heather Haney (Sita) is back for her third collaboration with Constellation Theatre Company.  A proud Constellation Artistic Associate, Heather has performed in Tempation (Vilma) and A Flea in Her Ear (Lucienne).  She is also an Acting Company member with Washington Shakespeare Company, where she was most recently seen in The Miser (Frosine).  She has worked with Longacre Lea, Forum Theatre, Rorschach Theatre, The Shakespeare Theatre, The Inkwell, and others.  Heather will next tackle the world premiere adaptation of Cat’s Cradle with Longacre Lea this summer before taking on Mary Stuart with Washington Shakespeare Company in the fall. 

Andreu Honeycutt

Andreu Honeycutt* is enjoying his Constellation debut and second go round in the storytelling of The Ramayana. Local credits include Fringe Festival:  Titus X, The Punk Rock Musical; Woolly Mammoth: Measure for Pleasure; Studio Theatre: The History Boys; The Kennedy Center: Mr. Roberts; Imagination Stage: Sleeping Beauty; Atlas Theatre: Spunk. Film credits include PBS: Prince Among Slaves. Regional credits include The People’s Light Theater Company: Twelfth Night.  He is a 2004 BFA Graduate for The University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association.

Ashley Ivey

Ashley Ivey  is proud to be an Artistic Associate with Constellation Theatre Company, and has been seen in Three Sisters, A Flea in Her Ear, Crazyface, The Marriage of Figaro, Temptation, The Oresteia, The Goodwoman of Setzuan, and A Dream Play. Other Credits: In Series: Berliner Kabarett, Petpourri; Catalyst Theatre: 1984, The Trial; Forum Theatre: Marat/Sade; Open Circle Theatre: Songs for a New World; Actors Theater of Washington: Never the Sinner, The Ruffian on the Stair, The Vampire Lesbians of Sodom, The Rocky Horror Show, SEXE! The Floorshow! Regional- Contemporary American Theatre Festival: Wilder, The Late Henry Moss, Thief River.

Jim Jorgensen

Jim Jorgensen  is in his first production at Constellation Theatre Company.  Other credits include:  Forum Theatre:  Angels in America I and II, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot; Folger Theatre: Much Ado About Nothing; Theatre J: A Bad Friend, The Last Seder, Born Guilty; Washington Shakespeare Company:  Royal Hunt of the Sun, Lady Chatterley’s Lover; Journeyman Theatre:  Life as a Dream, Spinning into Butter; American Century Theater: Autumn Garden:Scena Theatre: Writer’s Cramp.  Catalyst Theater:  Flu Season, The Trial: Theatre Alliance: Lazarus Syndrome, Boy Gets Girl; Keegan Theatre: Glengarry Glen Ross; Fountainhead Theatre: Fit to be Tied, Betrayal. Training: Southern Methodist University’s MFA Acting.

Jason McCool

Jason McCool comes from generations who‘ve been asked, “is that your real last name?” Home: Brockton, MA. Music degrees: Eastman/UMD. Credits: RAW (founder/producer/actor): “Riding the Bull” (WashPost Editors' Pick, 2009 CapFringe); Forum: “Last Days of Judas Iscariot” (title role, DCTheatreScene.com’s “2008 Audience Favorite Play”); Solas Nua (company member): “Scenes from the Big Picture” (WashPost’s “Top 10 Plays of the Decade”); Catalyst: “Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui” (winner, Helen Hayes Award, ensemble); T.Schreiber Studio (NYC): “Dancing at Lughnasa”; Studio, Folger, Everyman, Rorschach, Journeymen; Theater J, WSC, Kennedy Center. Dylan Myers

Dylan Myers feels very much aligned working for the first time with the incredible cast and crew of Constellation. Other local credits include understudying for Imagination Stage's, Pyramid Man, The Long Weight in the Hope Operas, and several characters in Rorschach Theatre's, 1001. Dylan received his BFA from Western Kentucky University, has served every county in that great state through the KY Shakespeare Festival the KY Rep. Theatre and has traveled the country with the Hampstead Stage Co.

Amy Quiggins

Amy Quiggins  is excited to return to Constellation Theatre Company after having performed in Three Sisters (Irina), Crazyface and The Oresteia.  Other credits include:  Arts Alive Theatre at Montgomery College and Happenstance Theatre:  Three Fantasies; Rorschach Theatre:  Living Dead In Denmark; Shakespeare Theatre Company u/s:  Argonautika, Don Juan; Ford’s Theatre:  A Christmas Carol; The American Century Theater:  USA, The Second Man and The Seven Year Itch; Austin Free Shakespeare Society:  The Honest Whore, The Two Gentlemen of Verona.  Amy has an MFA from Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Academy for Classical Acting at George Washington University:  The Maid’s Tragedy, The Merry Wives of Windsor.  

Andres Talero

Andres Talero is thrilled to be working with Constellation Theatre for the first time! Previous credits include Rorschach Theatre: Living Dead in Denmark (Horatio); Catalyst Theatre Company: Roundheads and Peakheads (Lopez), 1984 (Philpot); Doorway Arts Ensemble: Anima (James), GALA Hispanic Theatre: Elliot: A Soldier's Fugue (Elliot), Valor (Tomillo),  Agravio y Mujer. Andres performed in the 2010, 2009 and 2008 Young Playwrights' Theatre Festival for YPT. Andres received his Bachelor's in Theatre in 2006 from the University of Maryland. He would like to thank his family and wonderfully patient and caring wife Lacey for their continued love and support.

Abby Wood

Abby Wood is excited to be performing with Constellation for the first time.  Her credits include Rorschach Theatre: 1001, Woolly Mammoth Theatre: Stunning, Cooking With Elvis; Studio Theatre 2ndStage: Breath, Boom!; Taffety Punk: Measure  for Measure, Romeo and Juliet; Washington Shakespeare Company: CaligulaEdward IIIThe Rape of LucreceThe Children’s Hour; Forum Theatre: The SkrikerThe Gas Heart/Hamletmachine; many shows with Longacre Lea Productions (Company Member for 7 years), Keegan Theatre: The Crucible; Wolf Trap Opera Company: A Midsummer Night’s Dream.  This summer she will play Mona in Kurt Vonnegut’s Cat’s Cradle with Longacre Lea.
